Hello,
I have inherited a beautiful "Birks" gold blaclet like womans wrist watch. It is written Birks on the face as well as Swiss. On the clasp is Stamped Germany. In the back casing it is stamped, again, the name Birks. It is a 17 (seventeen) Jewel. It was made in the year 1917 as there is a manual insription that reads, B.S-1917V.
Do you know of who the creator would be or who I would speak with?
Thanks,
Susan
I am trying to find information on some Birks Sterling Silver servicewear, and some china such as Spode Copeland, Royal Doulton and Aynsley patterns . Where can I find information about and find the value of such items? All were made circa 1930.

An appraiser could do research in the markets you wish to use and give you an accurate value, but this would be difficult to do without seeing the items.
Henry Birks & Sons is a Montreal firm started in 1879. It started as Henry Binks & Co. In 1893 it became Henry Binks & Sons. From 1905 to present it is known as Henry Binks & Sons, Ltd. They use a system of marks and 3 hallmark figures to identify and date their items.
You might wish to contact Replacements Ltd, (800-562-4462) to see if they can identify your items.
If you will click on the Search For An Appraiser link in the left column, you can search for an appraiser in your city or area who couldd help you with this.
Thanks for contacting ISA

I have a 65 piece Copeland & Garritt Spode Set. The Pattern is Fairy Dell (Yellow, Lilac & Red Flowers). I believe the date impression is 1943.
I would like any information about it at all.
Replacements, Ltd at 1-800-REPLACE is a useful contact for information about china, whether you are buying or selling or just interested in knowing a bit more about your set. Good luck!
