I have something that looks like a sugar bowl I think the "ole" I can see stands for Poole Silver company. The city is Taunton, Mass. The number is 1404. I cannot see any other marking. Do you know what I have and is it worth anything?

Poole Slver Co of Taunton, MA was started in 1893 making popular priced silver plated hollowware. Mr. Poole died and his 3 sons managed it until they retired in 1946 and sold the company to in investment group who operated it successfully. It was purchased in 1971 by Towle Mfg. Co.
Value is very limited. Poole produced a very low quality product. The cost to re-silver the item is tremendously high. Also...there is a VERY soft market for silver plated items.
Giving a value would not be possible without seeing the item. I hope this helps.

Hi:
I have a short 3 candle candleabra. On the bottom it says Poole Silver Company, Old English 5015
It is very heavy, and is not marked sterling, or plated, or anything else.
Any idea on what unmarked pieces are made of?
I understand old english is the style name, but any idea of age, value etc would really be appreciated.
Thanks!
I have a covered silver serving dish with a tin inner bowl. The value is with our family. On the bottom is "Poole Silver Co, Tauntion, Mass #723" We know it came into our family in 1913, as my great grandparents had their 25 anniversary date engraved on it. Just wanted to know any history about it. Never going to sell it, as now there are 4 generations of names and anniversarys engraved. Thanks
I have matching coffee and tea pots with the following information: Horse head (to grasp to open lids, Taunton Silver plate, very engraved with a nice engraving at the top of each leg. On the bottom there are the numbers 8, 950, and 740. Can you give me any idea of how old they are and their worth?
Thank you for your help.
I recently received a BSC REG silver-on-copper set: tea pot; coffee pot; sugar bowl/lid; creamer; another bowl without handles or lid; large footed tray. I don't think it's ever been used. What can I sell this for as it has no sentimental value?
I have a coffee server marked E.P.C.A. Sevenoaks by Poole 650. Any additional information would be appreciated. Thanks!
I have a 14X20 tray with a coffee pitcher, tea pitcher, a creamer, and 2 other containers of some sort (5 pieces). It is from the 1800's at some time. BUT it says QUADRUPLE silver plated. Does this make a difference in its worth? It is from Poole Silver Co., style 933, I think, but then etched with 5368.
Thanks for your help.

You teapot is silver plated and made by Poole. The outer circle has "Guaranteed- Taunton, Mass" not "Union"
The company produced popular priced silver plate until it was purchased by Towle in 1971. The value would depend on the style and condition. Silver plate has a very low after market value, especially for just the single piece. In this area it would have a value of $25 to $50.

I have a teapot with a name of poole silver co.
It has a #2969 and says hand hammered. Says
guaranteed, Union Mass around a circle, that has
poole silver co.inside the circle. The 2 on 2969
seems to be slightly out of line with the other no.s. It weighs over 2 pounds and stands over 8 inches tall. anybody have an idea of value.
I have a covered vegetable dish, measuring 11.5"x9".
On the bottom of the lip on the lower piece is a coat of arms type shield with 'copper on silver' found on the diagonal band. In the upper left of the shield is a 'W' and the lower right is an 'S' in a formal style script. It belonged to my husband's mother and I've recently acquired it and wondered how to care for it. There is one small dark spot on the surface that I cannot get off with my fingernail and I wondered if this was the copper coming through? It is the size of a pinhead. Can you also tell me the name of the manufacturing company? Thank you.
I have an Aster Shaker by Poole #556SP. I am wondering what the significance of the little picture of a head is, that's found right above the number on the bottom? And what do you think it's worth by itself? -Thanks,

EPC mean "electro-plate on copper." Poole Silver Co. operated in Traunton, MA. making popular priced items until it was taken over by Towle in 1971. An appraiser would have to examine your piece, but usually these have very little value!

I have a Poole bed warmer. On the bottom it says, "EPC, Poole Silver, 125. Is this sterling silver or just silver-plated? How much might it be worth?
I have a bowl with one long wooden handle. Markings on back EPCA Bristol Silverplate by Poole 118. I'd love to know the value but even more what is it. It reminds me of a silent bulter but no lid nor does it appear that it ever had one. It appears complete. Almost looks like a church offering plate. What is it?
I have what looks like a samavor. It says "silver on copper" and is marked with a crown, S with a slash through it and a shield. It is 20 inches high with a lid and a small pot with wick for heating which sits in a cradle. It has handles on each side with flower trim around the top lip and spout. I have searched Ebay and the internet and can't find out anything about its value. Can you help me?
I have a tea or coffee set, I don't know the difference, minus a tray marked P.S. Co. 2970 On some pieces the P.S. Co. in enclosed in squares. It includes the pot, covered sugar and creamer plus another piece that someone told me was a slop(?) jar.
What can you tell me about it?
I have a 5 candle Candelabra made by the Poole Silver Company. It is very heavy and on the bottom it says "Poole Silver Co. Taunton, Mass Quadruple plated" There is also the number 621. Can anyone give me info on this piece?

I have a Poole Silver bowl embossed with EPCA Poole Silver Co 502 6 Authentic Reproduction. Does anyone have a slight knowledge of how much this would be worth?
Laura
Your piece is silver plate made by Poole, probably mid 20th century. Poole was a very popular priced silver company. It is not possible to know what item you have; lower priced silver plated items usually do not have a great value in the secondard market.

I have a silver piece that looks like a cup with 2 handles. The mark has a crown with P.S. Co written inside, Sheffield written underneath it, and the number, 3102. Does anyone have any information about this piece? Thanks!
