My mother bought an old secretary in the 1940's, secondhand, for $25. It was old as I was growing up. The finish is slightly marred. There's no key to lock it, though it has two large keyholes. The part you pull down to make a desk is worn. The drawers have tongue and groove construction. The secretary is very plain, except for inlay on the two drawers and there's a plain crown around the top section (two glass doors, keyhole and shelves). I live in Kitsap county, a rather remote area across the sound from Seattle. I'm in a wheelchair, so it's difficult to get out. How can I get the secretary appraised? Does it appear to be worthwhile to pursue?
