Silver history lesson Number 2!
The Rogers history is large and complex. There were probably a dozen companies using some form of the name. Again, your spoon would have to be examined for the information to be accurate.
First, the "Pat Apr, 1706" does not mean what you assumed. There was no silver plate or patent office that early. It probable mean patent applied for and probably 1906. The 1706 could also be a pattern number.
There were a dozen or more companies with "Rogers" and many family related. Wm. A. Rogers was a Canadian firm from about 1894. They found in the early 20th century that their spoons made in their New York factory would sell better with the name "Rogers" on them! They were permitted to use Wm. A. Rogers on their plated spoons if the pieces had the same silver weight as the well-known Rogers Bros. had. It is now a part of Oneida. Your pattern would be difficult to identify by the description. An appraiser could probably find it under Oneida. You might also contact Replacements, Ltd. for help.
I hope this helps!

I have a Wm (williams) A Rogers (same as Rogers & Bros?) table spoon. It says Pat Apr 1706. I've since then looked up the patterns, Apr I assume would be the pattern April, but the pattern also resembles the daisy patterns as well. Cannot find anything regarding pattern number or date 1706. This doesn't look like the April pattern. It's one flower at the top with a stem or a vine down to another smaller flower about 1/3 down the handle. 1. Is my Wm A Rogers the same as Rogers & Bros? 2. How long ago did they start making this April pattern? 3. 1706 is that a pattern number or a year? I think rogers and bros started in the 1847's? Any help would be GREATLT appreciated. This is a tough one for me.
